European Benzene imports grow in Q2 2011

DSV steps up graduate recruitment for sales positions

Mr Malyon explains that the subject of a candidate's degree was not the most crucial criteria for selection. "We are looking for people who understand how to relate well to clients and potential clients – listening to them and being able to assess their requirements and needs."

Some of the 12 graduates are filling existing vacancies, while new roles are created for the others. We are sure that these graduates will develop into top sales people," says Mr Malyon.

The graduates, who begin working at DSV in September, will be given 13 days training by Pareto as well as immediate inclusion in the DSV Sales Academy. They will be taught all aspects of sales, such as presentation skills, client-needs analysis and booking meetings.

DSV Road , which is the third largest road freight operator in Europe, has been focussing on people development and sales training over the last few months, establishing a Sales Academy for existing staff and designing new programmes for apprentices.

Protective Packaging Announces Corrosion Prevention Services

A case in point: A large gas plant in South America shut down due to economic pressures and top-level management was unaware of the corrosive decay that had set in over a relatively short period of time. When it came to light, Protective Packaging dispatched a team of corrosion prevention professionals to evaluate the situation and help the company implement a solution.

The Protective Packaging team conducted an extensive inventory of parts, testing the corrosion levels throughout the facility, and then implemented an overall corrosion prevention plan. Once the review was complete, the team documented preservation recommendations by type of metal, location, environmental conditions and estimated length of storage time. Protective Packaging's solutions included a wide range of moisture barrier materials (polyethy garbage compactor review lene/foil films), various sizes of desiccants to absorb any remaining moisture within the barrier bags, volatile corrosion inhibitors to protect outside metals from corrosion, and corrosion prevention expertise; the know-how to use which materials in specific situations, and where to use them. Continuing Exploration at Don Luis August 6th

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 13, 2011 - There has been a lapse in Rome's Weekly Reports due to reorganization of our Mexican operations. We now have a new drill crew working with our Prospector II Reverse Circulation Drill (left photo below). Drilling costs have been cut by: (i) using one company 4-wheel drive vehicle instead of renting three vehicles, (ii) reducing the drill crew with supervisor from six persons to four, and (iii) eliminating time-consuming provision of meals to the crew. In addition as before, we hire a watchman to guard the drill during the night and holidays. The new crew has had some start-up learning, so the rate of drilling has been a little slower. However, we have now completed 59 holes. Logging of the chip boards also has fallen behind. In the coming weeks this geological control will be brought up-to-date. Analysis with this instrument for tungsten, molybdenum and lead is important because these valuable elements add significant dollar value to the West Zone mineralization.

Currently, the first 29 RC drill holes are being analyzed carefully to evaluate potentially economic mineralization. Chamber Endorses Comprehensive Pension Reform Initiative

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 03, 2011 - San Diego, CA, August 03, 2011 -- The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, representing over 400,000 chamber members' employees, today announced its support for the Comprehensive Pension Reform Initiative. The Chamber's Board unanimously voted to Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi endorse the initiative during a recent Board of Directors meeting.

"This initiative makes good economic sense," said Ruben Barrales, Chamber president and CEO. "If the initiative qualifies for the ballot and is approved by the voters next year, it will provide significant reform for the City of San Diego, and save taxpayer dollars for important city services. To sustain economic growth, the city must establish policies that recognize the importance of responsible spending."

"This is strong evidence of the support for pension reform from the business community," said Vincent Mudd, Chamber chairman. "The Chamber intends to educate all of its members on the Comprehensive Pension Reform Initiative and believes more support will follow."

According to proponents, the initiative will end pension spiking, establish a 401 (k)-style plan for new hires, require city employees to pay a fair share of pension costs, cap "pensionable" employee compensation for 5 years, provide for online disclosure of pension payouts, prevent city government unions from blocking reforms, and guarantee death and disability benefits for all public safety personnel including police officers, firefighters and lifeguards. Estimates put the savings of the reform from $1.2 to $2.2 billion over twenty seven years, depending on various actuarial assumptions.

"This initiative ends traditional pensions and, instead, p hel trash bins icopter technology rovides city employees with 401 (k)-style plans, similar to those offered in the private sector," said City of San Diego manual trash compactor Mayor Jerry Sanders.
